Abaco is about to make history in the energy sector of the Bahamas with the construction of its first hybrid power plant combining solar and LNG. Starting in November, 60 acres of solar panels will begin to power the electrical grid. Full commissioning of the engines and battery storage is scheduled for May 2027, providing enough capacity to power the entire island. These investments are crucial for strengthening the local infrastructure.
