A group of men braved danger to rescue an elderly resident trapped in a burning house in Stapledon Gardens. Alerted by thick smoke, they attempted to reach the man locked in the bathroom. After several unsuccessful attempts, they finally managed to get him out using a ladder. Emergency services took care of the victim, who was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
