Korotkova took first place in the 65 to 69 age category at the 39th edition of the Dardanelles swimming crossing, finishing in 56 minutes and 54 seconds. It was her first participation in this event, after swimming 150 kilometers on the Don River. Another Russian swimmer finished third in a different category. Organizers strengthened security measures following a tragic incident that occurred the previous year.
