The recent Decree-Laws 120 and 133, published in the Gaceta Oficial, aim to transform the Cuban entrepreneurial system. Decree-Law 120 strengthens the role of state enterprises in the national economy, promoting decentralization and autonomy. Decree-Law 133, on the other hand, opens up opportunities for non-state economic actors, simplifying the creation of businesses and allowing the hiring of more than one hundred employees.
