Since Thursday, several faculties in Uruguay have been occupied by students following a knife attack on a 19-year-old student. The suspect, a classmate, is currently hospitalized in a psychiatric facility. The protest movements, which are spreading to other faculties, denounce gender-based violence and demand security measures in educational institutions. The university is implementing initiatives to address this crisis.
