The Iraqi government has announced the development of two strategic pipelines. The first will connect the southern oil fields to Fishkhabur, near Turkey, while the second will start from Haditha to reach the Syrian port of Banias. These projects aim to diversify export routes, thus reducing dependence on traditional maritime routes, especially in light of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
