Cultural icon Leroy “Wadix” Charles encouraged students to become active ambassadors of the Creole language during the launch of a Creole spelling competition. Scheduled for November 2026, this event aims to strengthen young people's connection with Creole and position Dominica as a linguistic center. Charles emphasized the importance of practicing Creole daily and proposed cultural exchanges with Guadeloupe and Martinique to enrich students' experiences.
