The construction of a Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Pedernales is entering a technical evaluation phase. A commission has inspected several sites to determine the best location for this infrastructure. This project is part of a national plan aimed at improving the conditions of the prison system and promoting the social reintegration of inmates. Coordination meetings have also taken place to ensure effective follow-up on the project.
