Epidemiological data from the Dominican Republic reveals a 5.5% decrease in infant deaths in 2026 compared to the previous year. Week 34 recorded 41 deaths, of which 34 were neonatal deaths. Maternal deaths have also decreased, with a total of 93 cases reported since the beginning of the year. Additionally, cases of dengue and malaria show a downward trend, while leptospirosis and cholera have not been reported.
