The District National Court has decided to open a trial against a lieutenant colonel of the army, accused of killing a young woman in Mirador Sur park. The evidence collected contradicts the defendant's version, who claimed that the shooting was accidental. The soldier, who had a relationship with the victim, has been in preventive detention since the end of January.
