A collision occurred on the road leading to Pointe-à-Pitre, involving a tanker truck carrying hazardous materials. Although no fuel leak was reported, the heavy vehicle was secured in the parking lot of Ets Pommez. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was transported to the CHU, while the truck driver remained at the scene, unharmed.
