On Sunday, 24 individuals were evacuated by helicopter in Goyave following a sudden rise in the level of the Moreau River. Emergency services were alerted in the early afternoon and mobilized two helicopters, one of which was from the Civil Security. In addition to aerial operations, ground teams and specialized aquatic rescue units were also deployed to ensure the safety of those in distress.
