Antoine Destang started the Pan-Pacific Junior Championships by competing in two events, achieving performances close to his best times. At 18 years old and a student at the University of Michigan, he is the only swimmer from Saint Lucia present in Vancouver. He has four more events to compete in, and to advance, he will need to match or surpass his entry times against formidable international competition.
