A man from St James is being prosecuted for assault following a dispute with a woman who wanted to end their relationship. During a visit to his home, an altercation broke out when the woman expressed her decision. The man allegedly attempted to strangle her and pushed her to the ground. She managed to escape and alert the police, reporting injuries. The accused denied the charges in court, where his case was adjourned to November 11.
