Jamaica is preparing to create a Road Authority, led by a road commissioner. Announced by the Minister of Works, Robert Morgan, this project aims to regulate all road infrastructures, currently managed by different entities. The authority will be tasked with ensuring road safety and protecting public investments, particularly regarding damages caused by accidents. Legislation is expected to be presented to Parliament soon.
