Abigaye Smythe, a heart patient, donated $4,000 in specialized equipment to the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) before her sixth surgery. This donation aims to enhance the hospital's capabilities in minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Smythe, who has undergone several procedures herself, wishes to invest in the health of Jamaicans and improve cardiac care on the island.
