FC Barcelona dominated Real Betis 5-2, consolidating its position at the top of La Liga with a five-point lead. Lamine Yamal shone with a spectacular goal, while Rodri, Gabriel Jesus, Eric Garcia, and Dani Olmo also scored. Betis, reduced to ten after the expulsion of Facundo Bernal, managed to equalize temporarily. Despite defensive flaws, Barcelona set a new record for wins at the start of the season.
