A businessman from St Catherine has been arrested and charged after fleeing Jamaica following a shooting that occurred in May 2024. Chavis Peart, 38, faces multiple charges, including wounding with intent and possession of an illegal firearm. The incident, which took place during a family dispute, injured three people. After more than two years on the run, he was deported and arrested by Jamaican authorities.
