Black River Hospital, located in St. Elizabeth, plans to reopen its inpatient services by the end of October, following significant repairs after the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa. The general manager indicated that work is underway on the men's, pediatric, and women's services. Improvements are also being made to other areas of the facility. Currently, the hospital is operating from tents, but the reopening will bring additional beds.
