A Jamaican delegation, led by the Minister of Culture, is traveling to London to submit a petition to King Charles III. This document aims to obtain a legal opinion on the legality of the transatlantic slave trade and Britain's responsibility for reparations. This is a first for a Commonwealth country to take this legal route. The minister will also meet with officials from the British Museum to discuss the return of colonial artifacts.
