Since the beginning of the year, Jamaica has recorded a 24% decrease in homicides, according to the Minister of National Security. As of October 6, 407 murders have been recorded, compared to 534 the previous year. This figure marks the lowest quarterly average in over 30 years. The government emphasizes its commitment to maintaining this trend, supported by investments in security forces and training programs.
