Between 2026 and 2027, Jamaica plans to reintegrate over 11,000 hotel rooms into its tourism offering, marking a key milestone in the recovery of the sector after the passage of Hurricane Melissa. At an event in Ocho Rios, a tourism official highlighted that 70% of the recovery has already been achieved. Several establishments will reopen before the winter tourist season, with a gradual return of hotel inventory.
