The National Water Commission (NWC) is implementing a program to decrease unbilled water losses resulting from leaks and theft. During a webinar, the acting vice president explained that aging infrastructure impacts these losses, currently at 70%. An 11-year program is underway to reduce this figure to 30%. Several large-scale projects, such as modernizing pipelines and constructing a new treatment plant, are also in progress to improve water supply.
