The Early Childhood Commission (ECC) partners with author Steven Golding to distribute his collection of nursery rhymes, ‘Daddy Marcus Nursery Rhymes’, to over 2,500 early childhood institutions in Jamaica. This book, which pays tribute to Marcus Garvey, includes reimagined versions of classic nursery rhymes rooted in Jamaican culture. During a handover of 500 copies, Golding emphasized the importance of culture in the education of young children.
