Jamaica is drawing international attention with its pension system for tourism workers, deemed "emulable" by UN officials. During a meeting, the Minister of Tourism emphasized the importance of this program, which aims to provide social protection for employees in the sector. In place since 2020, it could benefit around 350,000 workers, providing essential financial security after years of service.
