A recent study revealed the potential presence of a reservoir of hot fluids beneath the Soufrière Hills of Montserrat, which could contain precious metals. Although this discovery is intriguing for Guadeloupe, no similar brine lens has been identified beneath its volcano. However, previous research shows that La Soufrière emits various metallic elements, without confirming the existence of an exploitable deposit.
