Atmo Réunion has launched a new website and an updated air quality index for the 24 municipalities of the island. This new index, using a color code ranging from blue to purple, replaces the old numerical system. Fine particles (PM2.5) are now included in the measurements. Although air quality is improving, the new index may often indicate an 'average' quality due to stricter thresholds.
