Noorullah Rohani, a former teacher in Afghanistan, fled his country after the Taliban took power. After passing through Iran and Brazil, he arrived in French Guiana with his family, seeking a new future. Well received, he is adapting to his new life, learning French and enrolling his children in school. For him, French Guiana represents an opportunity to live in freedom, far from the Taliban threat.
