The Prime Minister announced financial support for New Caledonia, including 11 million euros for the end of 2026 and up to 460 million euros for 2027, mostly in the form of grants. Caledonian elected officials, who believe this aid meets 90% of their requests, emphasize the need to clarify the distribution between grants and loans, in order to avoid worsening the territory's debt.
