A 31-year-old man lost his life during a football match in Anse-Bertrand on Wednesday evening. While he was playing, he suddenly suffered a cardiac incident. Emergency services, alerted shortly after 8:59 PM, were unable to revive him upon arrival. Despite the efforts of firefighters and the SMUR doctor, his death was pronounced on site. Authorities then secured the area until the arrival of the mortuary vehicle.
