The West Indies suffered a heavy defeat against India in the first T20 International of a five-match series. Despite a promising partnership between Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford, the team was quickly dismantled after a good start. India, led by a in-form Shreyas Iyer, easily won the match by eight wickets. The two teams will meet again on Friday in Ranchi.
