In the wake of the Independence celebrations and the Caribbean Premier League match, Port of Spain underwent an intensive cleanup. Teams from the National Public Space Maintenance Program were mobilized as early as 2 a.m. to clear the area of waste. Minister Khadijah Ameen praised the coordination among various ministries to ensure the success of these events and prepare the city for the work week.
