The government of Antigua and Barbuda and APUA are considering the creation of a 55-megawatt renewable energy facility. This project aims to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels. A 320-acre site in the Potworks Dam basin is being studied for the installation of solar panels. Technical studies will determine feasibility and funding, with a construction goal within 46 months.
