The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) is launching a 25 million dollar project to modernize its electricity and water metering system. This automated system will allow customers to track their consumption in real time, thereby reducing human errors related to manual readings. The new technologies are also expected to facilitate fraud detection and improve outage management. The deployment is scheduled for this year or early 2024.
