The U.S. government has announced an investment of $245,000 for the restoration of Fort Montagu, one of the oldest military sites in the Bahamas. This project includes conservation work on the fort's historic cannons, built in 1741. Experts from the Bahamas, the United States, and the Dominican Republic will participate in this initiative, aimed at preserving the identity and history of this monument.
