A project to establish a national eye screening program for diabetics is being studied in Barbados. Professor Wei He, a renowned Chinese ophthalmologist, has already launched this initiative in Grenada and wishes to extend it to Barbados. During an ideas forum, he also suggested the establishment of a comprehensive eye health program for the country, before moving on to Antigua and Barbuda.
