Two hundred Cuban health professionals are currently integrated into the Jamaican health system, distributed among the Regional Health Authorities and the University Hospital of the West Indies. This new individual contract, in accordance with Jamaican legislation, allows these specialists to continue working in Jamaica after the end of the previous agreement. The Minister of Health emphasized the importance of this cooperation while providing humanitarian support to Cuba.
