In response to growing concerns about drought, a temporary desalination plant is being installed at Hope Plantation, St Lucy. Although the installation is nearly complete, activation depends on the arrival of an additional component. The Prime Minister also announced a project for a permanent plant at Harrison’s Point, expected to process up to six million gallons of water per day in two and a half years.
