The government of Barbados is considering modernizing the annual $500 allowance for travelers by linking it to users' passports. The Comptroller of Customs presented this initiative as part of a broader strategy to modernize customs services. At the same time, new technologies, such as a baggage tagging system at Grantley Adams International Airport, will be implemented.
