The Barbados doubles teams faced a tough start at the Pan American squash championships in Asunción, Paraguay. In women's doubles, Margot Prow and Eboni Atherley were defeated by the Colombians Laura and Maria Tovar. In mixed doubles, Meagan Best and Khamal Cumberbatch lost to the Argentinians Segundo Portabales and Paula Rivero. Finally, Darien Benn and Shawn Simpson were dominated by the Brazilians Diego Gobbi and Pedro Mometto.
