On the occasion of World Food Day, Barbados is ramping up its efforts to improve water management and optimize mulching and drip irrigation systems on its farms. The Chief Agricultural Officer emphasized the importance of these initiatives to increase food production. The island is also considering collaborations with other territories to enhance its food security. Donations of agricultural products were given to associations during the event.
