The Barbados National Energy Company Limited recently awarded ten scholarships of $1,000 as part of its inaugural "Powering the Future Scholarship and Transition Grant Awards" program. The winners were selected after a rigorous selection process, including an essay and an interview. In addition, three transition grants were awarded to children of employees who passed the secondary entrance examination.
