The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus, will award honorary degrees to Doug E. Fresh and Reverend Dr. Lucille Baird. Doug E. Fresh, an iconic figure in hip-hop, is celebrated for his impact in the arts and his support for Caribbean initiatives. Reverend Dr. Baird is recognized for her commitment to community transformation. The ceremony will take place on October 17, during the graduation celebrations.
