The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has expressed its support for Barbados in its efforts to modernize the agricultural sector. The FAO representative emphasized the importance of this initiative to increase local production, strengthen food and nutritional security, reduce dependence on imports, and create a more competitive and resilient food sector in the face of climate change.
