The Bahamas are preparing to create their first maintenance, repair, and overhaul center for aircraft in order to retain millions of dollars currently spent abroad. The Minister of Energy and Aviation emphasized the importance of this project to generate jobs, enhance local skills, and reduce dependence on international maintenance services. Partnerships with universities and airports are also underway to support this initiative.
