The government is ramping up its efforts to counter the sargassum invasion threatening local beaches. Discussions have been initiated with a Dominican company specializing in protective devices, called mesh barriers, designed to intercept the seaweed before it reaches the shores. A visit to Oistins beach was conducted to assess the current situation.
