The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution condemning the US economic embargo on Cuba, supported by 130 countries. Seventeen nations, including the United States and Israel, voted against, while 25 abstained. The ambassador of Barbados pointed out that, although most CARICOM countries have traditionally supported this resolution, this year only seven voted in favor. This decision remains non-binding.
