An international research project, led by Johns Hopkins University, involves teams from several countries, including Brazil. This project focuses on analyzing the virus in patients with hepatitis B and HIV. Approximately 600 participants will be studied over four and a half years to understand the variations of the virus and identify new targets for treatment. The study aims to improve the management of this silent but potentially deadly disease.
