Since August 10, Colombia has experienced intense seismic activity, with over a thousand earthquakes, primarily in the Chocó department. Two types of seismic behaviors have been identified: aftershocks around San José del Palmar and a seismic swarm in other areas. Preliminary analyses suggest that the main earthquake may have influenced these events, but they are not related to the same rupture. The situation is under study.
