Russian researchers have identified a natural compound, casuarictin, in sea buckthorn leaves, capable of inhibiting the growth of cancer cells in experiments on a cervical cancer model. According to the results, the effectiveness of this compound depends on its concentration and the duration of exposure. Future studies will aim to assess its toxicity and bioavailability for the development of a treatment.
